Pastoral care

Pastor Ruddat is richly blessed to share in the joys and struggles of the people of Immanuel Lutheran Church and to care for the congregation and wider community with words of hope, comfort and compassion. He offers a variety of pastoral care to help you through your situation.

General visiting

Pastor is able to meet with individuals and families whether there is an issue that is a burden, someone is homebound or just to share a little time as friends and fellow followers of Jesus. In these visits, he listens actively and empathetically, tries to share words of support and encouragement and is always willing to pray. Pastor has limited counseling training and may offer a referral to counseling services.

Hospital visits

Hospital visits are available for those preparing for a test or an operation, have an illness or are recovering.

End of life and grief support

Being present and sharing the promise of the resurrection to those who are drawing close to death or grieving the loss of a loved one, is at the very heart of Christian ministry. Pastor is available to provide support related to end of life decisions, funeral planning and ongoing grief support.

Marriage counseling

Pastor assesses strengths and growing edges for couples who are looking forward to their wedding and for couples who are looking to strengthen, renew and restore their relationship. Completing a course of pre-marital counseling is an expectation for all couples getting married at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
