Couple’s Dinner

 

On February 17th, Morrison and Immanuel are working together to do a catered Couple’s dinner and babysitting. Couples young and young at heart are welcome! The Couple’s Dinner is a catered meal served at Immanuel Lutheran from 5:30pm.  Babysitting will be from 5-9pm.
If you have a need for a babysitter that night, babysitting will be provided by both Immanuel and Morrison Zion teens at Morrison Zion Lutheran School.

Lynn Seiltz Funeral Friday January 26th, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran in Shirley

Lynn C. Seiltz, 79, passed away peacefully at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI on January 19th, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Lynn was born in Shawano, WI on July 6th 1944 to the late Harris and Edna Kasten.

Lynn was raised on the family farm in Gillett, WI. She graduated Gillett High School, the class of 1962. She moved to Little Chute, then Wrightstown, WI where she met her husband, John Seiltz. They were married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenleaf, WI on April 18,1971. They resided together at the J & L Farm in Greenleaf for over 51 years.

Lynn was an active member of St. Paul Church involved with Ladies Aid, choir, and teaching Sunday School. She was a bell collector and belonged to the Bell Friends of Wisconsin group for many years. Lynn loved making quilts for her family and was a member of the local quilt group. She also loved poetry and was a published poet. She enjoyed gardening and loved making wedding and birthday cakes for all her family and friends.

Lynn is survived by her husband John, their children; Richard (Melissa Desten) Seiltz, Amy (John Seymour) Camps, Joseph (Kelly) Seiltz, Andrew (Kris) Seiltz, and Annie (Erik Johnson) Johns. She is also survived by grandchildren Courtney (Brad) Cramer, Mariah (Alex) Pelishek, Heather Rose, Marisa Camps, Amber Camps, Victoria Seiltz, Breanna Desten and Olivia Desten-Demoulin, Kole (Amanda) Landwehr, Kaitie Landwehr, Jaeger Pavlik; great grandchildren Blake Pelishek and Baby Cramer. Lynn is further survived by her brother George (Carol) Kasten and sisters Velma Yancy and Leola Schneider; brothers-in-law Karl (Janice) Seiltz, Paul Seiltz and Glenn Seiltz; sisters-in-law Nancy Kasten, Marge Kasten, Elizabeth (Richard) Schmidt, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harris and Edna Kasten her brothers Ernest, Harry and David Kasten, sister Helen Kasten; brothers-in-law Kenneth Schneider and Bud Yancy; sisters-in-law Kathy Kasten, Karen Seiltz and Janet Seiltz as well as her nephews Scott Kasten, Troy Yancy, Norman Kasten and niece Rose Kasten.

Family and Friends may call to Immanuel Lutheran Church at 3735 Shirley Road, DePere, WI 54115 on Friday, January 26th from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Ruddat officiating. Ryan Funeral Home, DePere, is assisting the family.

In lieu of black clothing, Lynn requested beautiful bright colors.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bellin hospital for the great care they provided to Lynn.

Youth Group Sledding

Sign up for our sledding event! We will be meeting at Immanual Shirley at 12:30 PM on Saturday, January 13th and leaving for Kewaunee Winter Park shortly after that.
